Our story…

Did you know our brains sense of smell is connected with the region that processes memories and emotions? That one unique smell, the one that brings you back to a moment you can’t quite put your finger on, it happens for a reason. Candlelit moments wants to bring those memories back with a scented candle that will trigger your brain to recall that time and bring you joy. In October of 2023, we created our business to personally use our photographs to show Maine's true beauty and diversity while carefully selecting scents to represent that photograph.

About Me...

My name is Courtney, I live in Bangor with my husband and two fur babies. I have dreamed of owning my own business and pursuing a career with my photography, but I held off on my passions to pursue my career into the medical field. I received my associates degree and dedicated many years to healthcare. The time has come in my life to put my true dreams to the test and to bring others happiness in a new and creative way. It’s extremely important to me and my family that I use clean and safe ingredients in our home.

Hand crafted with care.

These candles are custom made and photographed by the owner of Candlelit Moments, Courtney Roberts. Our candle wax is produced from US grown soybeans mixed with all-natural coconut. Fragrance oils are free of carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive, organ, and acute toxins making them friendly to all. Our wicks are lead and zinc free which reduces the black smoke. We use only high quality, safety tested materials.

“Do not give them a candle to light the way, teach them how to make fire instead. That is the meaning of enlightenment.”
